There Are Many Good Reasons to Join Pack 952!
Do you want to have fun with friends, participate in cool activities, sports, and camp? Then finding out more about Cub Scouts is the first step!
Cub Scouting is an active program. Everything we do is designed to have boys participating in active learning. Activities happen at weekly den meetings and monthly pack meetings as well as right at home with family members. They are designed to be fun and to achieve the aims of Scouting – citizenship training, character development, and personal fitness.
Cub Scout Sports And Academics
The Cub Scout Sports and Academics program provides the opportunity for boys to learn new techniques, develop sportsmanship, increase scholarship skills, and have fun. Participation in the program allows boys to be recognized for physical fitness and talent-building activities.
Age-appropriate camping programs are packed with theme-oriented action that brings Cub Scouts and Webelos Scouts into the world of imagination. From day camps to overnight camps, all Scouting programs and facilities are designed to match each boy’s interests and experience levels. Camping programs combine fun and excitement with doing one’s best, getting along with others, and developing an appreciation for the environment and the world of the outdoors.

What do I need?
Here’s All You Need To Get Started:
Each Scout is expected to have a Cub Scout shirt and neckerchief with slide. The shirt should have the Pack number and other badges attached. The links below will help you with the specific uniform requirements for each Cub Scout level. The staff at the Scout Shop are all very helpful as well, so you can always rely on them to assist you.
The handbook is important for both Scouts and parents. It gives you information about activities, badges and pins. You can use the handbook as a learning tool as well as a way to identify areas of interest to you for personal pursuit.
For parents and Leaders, the handbook is where you sign off on achievements for your children. In Cub Scouting, there is an honor system for signing off on achievements, so leaders will never question your signature. This changes as boys move into Boy Scouts, so it’s best to start early and only sign off when a task is actually completed. It will make the achievement mean more to your son in the end too!
You can also turn to the Internet for information found in the Handbook. Here’s a link to one site.
A Positive Attitude
This is the most important element to Cub Scouting. The Cub Scout Motto is “Do Your Best” and that’s the kind of positive attitude you need to bring to every meeting and activity.
